Tina and Dan from Greenwood Holistic Farm in Ellington made their dream come true in 2022 when they purchased their farm. They provide clean humanely raised chemical-free food free from herbicide and pesticides. No commercial fertilizer is used, only what their animals provide back to the farm through their manure. At the Farmer’s Market they offer whole, and all standard parts of USDA processed pastured-raised chicken and a limited amount of pasture-raised pork.
In 2018 Chris & Rachelle opened their farm in Ashford CT. They are farming to maintain a connection to their food, their family, and their community. They aim to produce farm fresh products for every season. Maple syrup in the winter, vegetable plants in the spring, fruits & vegetables in the summer and Christmas trees in the late fall. Their vegetable garden is 100'x40', the orchard consists of 100+ trees, there are about 1200 Christmas trees, and too many egg laying hens to count! Farm to table helps them to simplify their supply chain, provides a clear picture of where their food comes from, and offers their family and the community healthy choices. They certainly love what they do!
Peter is a second-generation farmer on his family’s land right here in Ellington. The farm was formally a tobacco farm and dairy farm, which eventually turned into beef production. For the past 20 years they have raised a mix of Angus, Hereford, and other cross breeds that produce a high-quality USDA certified product that is hard to find elsewhere. They are open year-round, and customers have always been welcome to stop at their farm. They do ask you call ahead to arrange an appointment. Please call Peter and Verna at 860-875-1062 to visit the farm at 516 Somers Rd Ellington, CT
My name is Michelle Jordan and I'm the owner of Hillyndale Road Farm & Bakery as well as the Stafford Farmers Market manager. Nestled in Storrs Mansfield, Connecticut, my micro-farm and cottage bakery is more than a business—it’s a labor of love. With my husband, kids, cats, and chickens by my side, I've created a life rooted in nature’s rhythms. My journey into homesteading began with the birth of my first son. Faced with gluten and dairy sensitivities in my children, I embarked on a quest to understand the origins of our food and how it impacts our well-being. This is where my passion for baking from scratch and growing my own food began. Today at the market I offer heirloom plants, artisan bread and baked goods made with high-quality, often organic and locally-grown ingredients, and vegan and gluten-free options.
My name is Jenn Miller and I am the owner of Small Town Treasures and Treats. I do a variety of different items from crafted goods to freeze dried fruits, vegetables and candy. I have also been working on homemade sweet breads such as banana, blueberry, cranberry orange and cherry almond. I am looking forward to this year's market!
My name is Kim Haddad and I am the owner of KR Cookies, LLC. I bake a variety of gourmet, homemade cookies in my home in Storrs, Connecticut. I enjoy baking and look forward to sharing my creations with you at the Stafford Farmers Market every week!
